Apostille Treatment:

Step 1-- Verification of Files
All initial documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA need to be first validated by the marked authorities of the State/Union Territory where the document is issued.

For Educational papers, The papers must first be proven by the Education Division/ Personnel Advancement (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. The verification has to be performed with the name and designation seal along with the seal of the Department.

For Non-Educational papers, Home Division or General Administration Department (GAD) of the releasing State Government/Union Region is the marked authorities to take on the main attestation. The attestation needs to be done with the name as well as designation seal as well as the seal of the Division.

Commercial DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the respective Chambers of Commerce. The stamp of the corresponding Chamber of Commerce must be fastened on each paper along with the name & designation of licensed notary.
