Step 1-- Verification of Documents
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA need to be first confirmed by the designated authorities of the State/Union Region from where the record is released.

For Educational files, The documents should initially be attested by the Education and learning Department/ Personnel Growth (HRD) of the worried State Government/Union Area. The authentication needs to be done with the name as well as classification seal in addition to the seal of the Department.

For Non-Educational documents, Residence Division or General Management Department (GAD) of the releasing State Government/Union Region is the assigned authorities to undertake the primary attestation. The attestation has to be finished with the name as well as classification seal in addition to the seal of the Division.
