Apostille is done on the reverse side of the original file by affixing a distinct sticker with serial number. The candidates need to send the complying with documents/fees as authorized by MEA

Apostille Procedure:
Apostille from MEA can be done after attestation from pertinent State Govt. authorities. Apostille Certification Attestation treatment is needed when a person requirement legalisation of his record to be utilized in a member country of Hague Convention. The procedure of Apostille of certifications from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of Government of India can be done on all Indian Certifications.

Action 1-- Verification of Records
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA have to be first confirmed by the marked authorities of the State/Union Region from where the document is released.

For Educational files, The records should initially be attested by the Education Department/ Personnel Development (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. The authentication has to be performed with the name and also classification seal along with the seal of the Department.

For Non-Educational papers, Residence Department or General Management Department (GAD) of the releasing State Government/Union Area is the designated authorities to carry out the main attestation. The attestation must be made with the name and designation seal in addition to the seal of the Division.

Commercial DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the corresponding Chambers of Business. The stamp of the particular Chamber of Business have to be fastened on each paper together with the name & designation of accredited signature.

Step 2-- Apostille of Files
