Step 1-- Verification of Papers
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA have to be first verified by the designated authorities of the State/Union Territory from where the record is provided.

For Educational files, The records must initially be proven by the Education Department/ Human Resource Advancement (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. The verification has to be made with the name and also classification seal as well as the seal of the Department.

For Non-Educational records, Residence Division or General Management Department (GAD) of the issuing State Government/Union Region is the marked authorities to embark on the key attestation. The attestation should be finished with the name and classification seal in addition to the seal of the Department.
