Apostille Procedure:

Action 1-- Authentication of Files
All initial documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA should be first confirmed by the designated authorities of the State/Union Territory where the paper is provided.

For Educational papers, The files must first be testified by the Education Division/ Human Resource Growth (HRD) of the concerned State Government/Union Region. The verification should be performed with the name as well as classification seal as well as the seal of the Division.

For Non-Educational records, Home Department or General Management Division (GAD) of the providing State Government/Union Territory is the marked authorities to undertake the primary attestation. The attestation should be done with the name and classification seal in addition to the seal of the Department.
