Apostille is done on the reverse side of the initial record by attaching a special sticker label with serial number. The candidates need to submit the complying with documents/fees as approved by MEA

Apostille Procedure:
Apostille from MEA can be done after attestation from pertinent State Govt. authorities. Apostille Certification Attestation procedure is needed when a person requirement legalisation of his record to be utilized in a member nation of Hague Convention. The process of Apostille of certifications from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of Federal government of India can be done on all Indian Certifications.

Action 1-- Verification of Files
All original documents/copies needing Apostille/attestation from MEA should be first validated by the designated authorities of the State/Union Area where the record is issued.

For Educational files, The documents should initially be confirmed by the Education Division/ Personnel Development (HRD) of the worried State Government/Union Territory. The verification needs to be done with the name and classification seal in addition to the seal of the Division.

For Non-Educational records, Home Division or General Administration Division (GAD) of the issuing State Government/Union Area is the designated authorities to take on the key attestation. The attestation should be made with the name and classification seal along with the seal of the Division.

Industrial DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the respective Chambers of Commerce. The rubber stamp of the particular Chamber of Commerce must be fastened on each document together with the name & classification of licensed signatory.

Action 2-- Apostille of Files
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) thereafter, legalizes/Apostille the files on the basis of the trademark of the marked authorities of the State Government/Union Territory/Chambers of Business and also attaches Apostille Sticker label on the opposite of the Original files.
