Apostille is done on the reverse side of the initial record by affixing an unique sticker label with unique number. The candidates need to submit the following documents/fees as accepted by MEA

Apostille Treatment:
Apostille from MEA can be done after attestation from appropriate State Govt. authorities. Apostille Certification Attestation treatment is needed when an individual need legalisation of his paper to be made use of in a member nation of Hague Convention. Action 1-- Verification of Records
All original documents/copies requiring Apostille/attestation from MEA have to be first validated by the assigned authorities of the State/Union Territory from where the file is issued.

For Educational documents, The papers should initially be testified by the Education and learning Department/ Personnel Development (HRD) of the worried State Government/Union Area. The authentication has to be performed with the name as well as classification seal along with the seal of the Division.

For Non-Educational documents, House Department or General Administration Department (GAD) of the providing State Government/Union Area is the assigned authorities to embark on the key attestation. The attestation has to be done with the name and designation seal in addition to the seal of the Department.

Commercial DocumentsThese are to be pre-authenticated by the respective Chambers of Commerce. The stamp of the particular Chamber of Commerce must be affixed on each paper in addition to the name & designation of licensed signature.
